Life keeps on going faster and faster

Well everybody it's been awhile since last I updated. I have been to San Francisco, seen Kirby, come home, seen mom, taken the GRE, finished VBS scripts, and taken the first of six bus driving tests. Yeah me!
I of course have not yet finished posting pictures from the North Carolina trip and it has been almost a month. I have also failed to give Sarah her wedding present, sigh. I forgot it in Raleigh the day of the wedding. Forgotten Kirby's birthday/every other holiday I've forgotten in the last three years present at home in Lubbock, sigh. And with Mom's help refinished about a quarter of my kitchen cabinets. Although it is still not quite finished, sigh. I am waiting for the last coats to dry and need to sand and then figure out what I'm going to do about wierd colored hinges and knobs.
School will be starting before I even have a chance to realize it. So maybe if you're lucky I might put some more stuff up on this site. I guess it depends on if I continue to be motivated to be productive or just sit on the couch doing nothing. It's really 50/50 either way, although if I'm honest it's probably 90/10 in favor of the couch.
Love you all

A mostly good birthday

Well as we all know, my birthdays tend to end in tears. Usually mine, I'm not sure why but it's just the way things have gone for the last 30 years. So I say with no small amount of surprise that my 30th birthday went surprisingly well.
I had a pretty good birthday party. Almost all of Rene's family was there and some of my friends. We ate good food and mainly just hung out. In the middle of the party, I received a FedEx delivery of roses from Emily. They are really pretty and I will put up a picture of them at some later date. This was the party of flowers as Rene and another friend gave me flowers as well. There are flowers all over the house and it is really great. The party ended with everyone piling into cars for a surprise, which ended up being fireworks courtesy of Salvador.
On my actual birthday, I really didn't do much. Just lazed around the house. Of course on this the actual day of my birth somethng had to go wrong and that something was me having a touch of some sort of stomach bug. But all in all not bad at all.
I would write more and post pictures but it is midnight and I'm leaving at 9:30 for San Francisco and should probably be doing other things.

Love you all

Pictures for mom

I know it has been awhile since I put pictures on here from our trip around the east but I have been busy studying for the GRE and trying to write scripts for VBS which are taking far longer than I would like. I have managed to successfully write 4 scripts, which means I only have 6 left to go. YEAH ME!

Anyway here's some pictures for mom's benefit. When we were in Asheville we ate at this really amazing place called the Topalouh Honey Cafe. One of their specialities was cheese grits. Look Ma see how pretty. Gotta say they were pretty yummy.

Also at the Biltmore we saw what the power of Wisteria can really do. When it is shapped and pruned and stuff . . .

Today we are having a party for me. Yes that's right, no one from my family will be here but hey lots of Rene's family and some friends from Lubbock will be in attendance. It's not every year you turn 30! Hey gotta run my friend Casey just stopped by.
