I have survived the first 6 weeks of my third year of teaching, barely. I was so tired that literally all I did Saturday was sleep and lay on the couch trying unsuccessfully to get motivated to get off the couch. This year is shaping up to be harder than last year. Between new head coaches and a different schedule and lots of students I am worn out most days. I still enjoy the kids but am getting more and more tired of the whole teaching/coaching grind. I am looking forward to doing something different next year.
In other news I got a letter from OSU inviting me to apply to their school based on my GRE scores and I am taking that as a good sign. I am in the middle of my application to UNT. I feel like maybe my head is above water and maybe I can start trying to accomplish other things than surviving school.
SIGH!!! I still am really enjoying my 7th grade team. They beat one of the snotty rich schools last week and the coach came up to me and said, "Your team is ACTUALLY good . . ." Yeah heavy emphasis on ACTUALLY! So I enjoyed ACTUALLY sending them packing.
In other news we are starting weekly drama rehersals and bible studies on Wednesday night, adding to the whole life other than school stream of thought.
Well gotta go. Cause I don't have anything else to say.

So for the past two Saturdays I have been working. Last week I coached the 8th grade A volleyball team to victory in a tounament. There coach was out of town due to other obligations. This weekend I coached my team 7th grade A, to victory as well. Go me! I have to say I am really enjoying coaching this 7th grade team. They are encouraging to each other, good sports, and hard workers. I really think they might have a chance to go all the way to the city championship.
I have been very tired though. I am finally caught up in science and some of the chaos with coaching has calmed down. All of that is good but I still feel pretty tired and not entirely motivated to do anything other than be a coach potato.
I'm going to try to though. I might work on the cabinets some or wash my car or maybe go shopping.
I hope you all are well.
