So I gotta say after a week of sports camp (a different take on VBS), I was pretty wiped out. It's hard to explain really. I mean I worked at a job for three years that involved getting up early and doing sports. Those days usually lasted at least 10 hours. This was the same deal only it lasted only about 5 hours. Yet I felt more tired from those five hours than I felt after 10 hours of teaching. STRANGE!
Working with young kids again was fun and a good experience. The camp concept was good but of course there were the requisite problems with curriculum. Us Potter girls have such a hard time not being critical of curriculum for kids, but oh well. I was helping to coach volleyball.
Two little girls from my group came forward to say yes to Jesus for the first time. That was really exciting. I was definitly completly wiped out by Friday.
ON Saturday our neighbors set up a block party. AND it was really nice and cool to get to know everybody in the neighborhood and eat together and know people's names.
This week Rene and I are heading to L.A. for some business meetings for Rene and a wedding. It should be fun and maybe I can actually relax for some length of time. That would be nice.

So it turns out I rank as Ariel too.
![]() | You scored as Ariel, You scored as ARIEL. You end up breaking a lot of rules, but you believe that you have good reasons. You are/have been/would like to be deeply in love with someone, and you would do anything for them. Everyone thinks you have a beautiful voice.

Wierd huh? I wonder why me and Emily both turned out this way? Thoughts anyone.
So I am writing to you after two backbreaking days of tiling. Let me start by saying, tile is hard work. I am quite literally exhasted after two days of tiling, between the two days we probably put in close to 20 hours.
We have laid all the tile except two pieces in the dining room and all the cut pieces in the hallway. I must say even without grout and cleaning up messes it looks pretty dang good. And I do feel somewhat the tiredness that comes from a job well done.
It will probably take us another two days to finish up everything mainly because of the wait time needed inbetween steps. Sealing tile, grouting, sealing grout. It all takes about 24 hours inbetween steps. Not much else happening because who has the time.
I've included some pictures of us at work. There are no pictures of Rene because he threatened us with death should we post them so I added a clipart instead. I mainly laid mortar the first day with the boys putting the tile in place. Second day I measured all the tiles to be cut and the boys took turns cutting and handing me equipment. Then Rene took over cutting when we got to the curved pieces. Curved cause we're crazy and like to give ourselves more work than is necesary.
The bottem two pictures are how we all felt after hours of tiling, a little nuts.

Well today is another day of hard manual labor. Rene and Chava and I are beginning the actually tiling process today. I am not really look forward to hours of work and the loss of my refrigerador and stove and microwave and sink over the next couple of days. Today's goal get all the whole pieces down, tommorow we will do the cutting and then we seal the tile and then we grout and then we clean and then we seal the grout. It will take about 5 days total. But then it will done and it should look pretty amazing.
I will update you on the process.
