Hey everybody,
We just got back from a trip to Arkansas to see Grandma Smith. It actually was a pretty restful trip because there really is just not that much to do in Batesville. It was also really good to see Grandma since I haven't had a chance to get up there in two years! That is crazy.
I of course did not bring a camera so no pictures to post. Grandma is doing incredibely well for someone who is 92. We did get to experience the remmenants of Hurricane Ike last night. The evidence of the hurricane's passing was seen in the morning by the flashing clocks indicating we lost power and the limbs and leaves all over the yard.
A big limb fell off of the poplar tree and Grandma was very concerned that it was too close to my car but my car was unscathed and I helped mom drag the big limbs where they needed to go. We also had to right a cactus that had fallen over. Carefully I might add so as to avoid poking.
Other than that I am a couple of weeks into my third semester of school and trying to work out a rhythum. Rene is traveling all over this semester so that's a bummer but gives me more freedom to study.
All in all it has been a good start to school
